Cities of Tomorrow: By the Kids of Today

Fall Semester

Ages Kindergarten - 5th grade

Description

What will the cities of tomorrow look like?
Welcome to the future of driverless cars, flying taxis and drone deliveries. We've come a long way: from wigwams and igloos to pyramids and castles, human innovation is boundless.

Join us for a week where young inventors will work together to design and build the cities of the future. Kids will be taught a wide range of building techniques to turn their ideas into inspiring structures. All it takes is a little guidance and everyday materials - a plastic bottle, a cardboard box, metal piping, etc. - for kids' dreams to take shape.

8:30AM: Optional extended care
9:00AM: Warm Welcome – Hands-on exploration, team building & storytelling
10:00AM: Inventors work on their first challenge with time set aside for snack
11:45AM: Lunch and some well-deserved playtime outside.
1:15PM: The second big challenge of the day
2:45PM: Closing reflections
3:00PM: Sign Out
3:00PM – 5:00PM: Optional extended care.
