Taking Flight: Inventions that Defy Gravity

Spring Semester

Ages 2nd - 5th grade

Description

As long as humans have been around, there has always been a desire to defy the bounds of gravity and … fly. We will explore the contraptions inspired by nature that give us the power of flight: from handheld helicopters to parachutes, stomp rockets to hovercrafts. Your kids will drone on about the flying machines they make! For inventors, the sky isn’t the limit.
