Jr-Engineer Camp - Afternoon Session

5 - 8 yrs

Description

Lego WeDo Starwars Robocamp
Inspired by NASA and Star Wars, watch legos come to life on this class of fun filled of engineering and science activities.  Using Lego WeDo Robotics, each day students will build and program different lego projects such X-wings , AT-ST walker, RoboArm and more!

Lego WeDo Safari Robocamp
Each exercise in this course focuses on one of many creations of the most creative engineer in our history – Mother Nature. With this course, students can build, program and learn robots representing 12 various animals. Model examples: Giraffe, Venus flytrap, Gorilla and more!

Lego WeDo City Robocamp
This camp is designed so that keen young engineers of the future can learn about new technologies and robots that could improve life in a modern city. 12 models to choose from: Biplane, firetruck, forklift, helicopter and more!

Advance WeDo Robotics
Welcome to the advance world of Lego Wedo Robotics where campers build larger and more complex models.  They will be challenged to design and program their own creation.  Models include Ferris Wheel, Carousel, Drawbridge and more.

Lego Remote Control Mania
Making it move is the name of the game at this exciting camp. Kids will love to see their creations in motion using Lego wireless remote controls. Campers will use fascinating and challenging Lego components to create dynamic vehicles, machines and more.
Simple and Motorized Machines

Students will explore compound machines with new, super fun, models.  Change models to perform better based on what they learn about different types of forces (friction, gravity, magnetic and more). Working with a partner they will build and use Lego materials and components as well as modular construction kits to design and make high-quality working prototype such as  power race car, dragster, the walker, or Dogbot.

Lego Pneumatics
Students will learn about and understand gas-powered systems. They can investigate the components that comprise the systems, measure pressure in psi and bar, and explore kinetic and potential energy.

They reflect and re-design the functionality of their models and present their findings. Students build models together, each focusing on their part of the model - strengthening their 21st-century skills in collaboration and communication.

Lego Master Builder Academy Robots and Micro Designer
Clanking, stomping, rolling and flying - Lego robots are on the march!  In this camp, you will discover how to design and create some of the coolest robot and mecha models around.  Using balance, details and alternatives uses of Lego bricks techniques, you will build all-new models: the mighty, X-91-B, the spider-like Robo-Walker and the powerful Plasma Mech.

Basic Minecraft
Level One: Basics Students will learn the basic controls of the game such as how to move, mine, build, craft, and defend. Depending on the session students will learn how to build basic structures such as houses or castles. Students will also be able to join with other classmates in a fun and safe environment where they can learn to work together to accomplish a task.

Level Two: Redstone Students will learn how to further their crafting expertise and also how to farm in minecraft. Also students in this session will also learn how to build basic circuits using the included redstone Mechanics of minecraft. Students will also be able to join with other classmates in a fun and safe environment where they can learn to work together to accomplish a task.
