Description
Takoma Park Elementary has no school for kindergarteners, May 2, 3 and 6. Spend the day at Little Loft! We'll be checking out unassuming artist Sabato Rodia and learning about the construction of the Watts Towers in Los Angeles from the 1920s-50s. It will be a construction zone of building fun - cardboard, wood pieces, wire and other found materials. Kindergarteners only!
Notes:
Bring a lunch, snack, and water bottle.

• Getting there: • Metered street parking is available most days, and the Takoma Shopping Center parking lot (entrance next to Suntrust) is free for the first hour, $3/hour after that, with a flat rate of $2.50 on Sundays. The Farmer's Market on Sundays from 10am-2pm reduces the number of street spots available. • We are about 4 blocks from the Takoma metro (red line). •
