Description
Students will learn effective creative writing techniques through direct instruction and teacher modeling. They will create their own written imaginative pieces based on our weekly writing topics. Each week we will write interesting pieces of writing that are infused with more descriptive language, such as, similies, metaphors, hyperbole, adjectives, adverbs, they will learn through teacher led mini-lessons. Each student will create an individual Interactive Writing Journal (see below) to create stories, and revise and edit them. They will write the final drafts on a separate (final copy) paper and place them in the writing portfolios.
