In the introductory Fit A1 class, Fit A1.1, students work to be able to: introduce themselves and others, be familiar with numbers and spelling, talk about school, talk about personal details and interests, and tell time. Fit A1.1 covers the first 6 chapters of the Logisch! neu A1 course book.
The three Fit classes at the A1-level, Fit A1.1, Fit A1.2, and Fit A1.3 are designed for homeschool, private school, and other younger students who are looking to learn German from the beginning in a formal setting. Students will use German from the start: the class is conducted primarily in German, and the texts are in German as well. Students work in class to develop their listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. These classes cover material from the Logisch! neu A1 course book and workbook over the span of 3 semesters in classes Fit A1.1, Fit A1.2, and Fit A1.3. Workbook activities are completed and checked independently and this practice helps strengthen the skills and knowledge from the course book practiced during class.
Students who fully participate in and complete these three courses will ideally be prepared for the "Goethe-Zertifikat A1: Fit in Deutsch 1" exam for young adults, recognized globally as proof of German language ability. It was engaging and fun to just try communicating in German.
The time wasn't reflective of the eventual start time.

The proctors were patient and clear in their instructions. They executed the several parts of the exam on time, efficiently. I'm glad I took the test, and I look forward to eventually taking the B1 exam.
The listening part of the exam was much more difficult than the other parts. The conversations were spoken quite quickly, faster than I normally hear on news broadcasts such as Deutsche Welle and Tagesschau. I need to improve my listening skills, but it seemed like maybe the listening portion was maybe a bit out of scale difficulty-wise with the other parts.

It was the perfect environment to take my Goethe exam. I had a very positive experience.
