Description

NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) is a fun, empowering approach to creative writing. The challenge: draft an entire novel in just one month. Starting in September kids will learn how to write novels, develop plots, characters, and much more. We will ensure your child has everything ready to start writing their novel in November. After November they will be editing their novels and when it's done they can design covers, illustrate, and even PRODUCE THEIR OWN BOOKS!!!! Let your imagination take over, and just create!

It is important to be aware that this is a Workshop, not a class, for children who love to write, and will jump at the opportunity to work with a teacher who will guide them through the process of creating their own story and developing it into a book!

The first 4 weeks of this Workshop is free, please see 'NaNoWriMo Young Writers Workshop | Free Trial' to register for the first 4 weeks, and if you would like to continue please register here for the rest of the semester.

Notes

Your child will need a notebook for this class.

The link to connect to the class will be sent out 30 minutes before the class begins.

Class will be held on Zoom. It’s a platform that will allow teachers to talk to the kids and hear kids talking back to her. Also, teachers can use their screen as a whiteboard or show any materials they would like the kids to see. You need to find a good place for the lesson and help your child to set up. Be near if your assistance is needed. And the last detail please ask your child to raise his/her hand to ask questions.
