Description
I would love to help bring routine and a little color to your week with a group crafting experience! We will meet on Zoom and begin the day with a silly drawing prompt. Afterwards, we begin on craft-of-the-day! Every M, W, F offers a brand new craft using household materials.

Need supplies? Use the code "CRAFTERNOONS" at Make & Mend (https://makeandmendshop.com/) and Receive 10% off your order! Our pal, Emily, has a phenomenal second hand supply shop and this is a great, sustainable option for rounding out your supply closet.
• Semester clients must book between 1 to 3 days per week
Be sure to prep your area for a potential crafty mess! A brown paper bag with masking tape, reusable table cloth, or garbage bag are some of our favorite go-to's for setting a space. We recommend a parent in earshot if your kiddo is new to crafting alone with new materials (especially the days we have a glue gun as an option!). A smock and a snickity snack are always great to have nearby. Did you know that artists can get hangry in record time?

Alex is amazing with the kids, even in a remote setting. She keeps up a steady stream of checking in with each kid and giving them individual encouragement and appreciation. The activities are approachable for a wide range of ages. I love seeing the creativity and pride she brings out of my kid!

Loved:
It was nice to just have a craft/art night! No pressure. Human interaction :) And I liked the end result of the pictures. You could do whatever you wanted.
Improvements:
Maybe hold off on the background of what we were doing and first do some more basic stroke work to begin with. Get the class started just practicing ink levels and during this then you could talk about the history.

Loved:
Alex is amazing and her enthusiasm is infectious! My daughter loved the lava lamp project and proudly demonstrated it to her grandmother on FaceTime. Alex’s ability to work so well and really understand kids is a gift. Her ability to help them explore their creative side, when so many fun activities have been stifled or canceled due to COVID, is nothing short of amazing!
Improvements:
It would be great to creat a class for the 13-14 year old crew! It’s arguably the one of the hardest ages to be dealing with Covid.
