Class Experience

Children are preparing for FIRST® LEGO® League Explore Team Showcase in January 2021!
Must have previous experience in robotics and programming.
What is FIRST® LEGO® League?
FIRST® LEGO® League is mentor-based, research, and robotics programs that help kids become science and technology leaders, as well as well-rounded contributors to society.
FIRST® participants develop self-confidence in STEM, meaningful relationships with mentors and friends, and valuable, real-world skills that open pathways and help young people build a better future. FIRST® combines the fun and excitement of traditional sports with the rigor of STEM learning and the inspiration that comes from community. It's a perfect time when children are not socially interacting very much to be a part of a team-building and challenging activity!
We are very excited to be a part of FIRST® this year. We the only LEGO team in the area please don't wait to participate!

Build, code, and learn with LEGO WeDo! In this class, children will explore the exciting world of robotics and coding in a hands-on, exploratory manner. Your child will develop thinking skills, problem-solving skills, and learn how to collaborate with others to strive to build their best creations to showcase at their FIRST Lego League!

I think the class is a great idea to have outdoors. I think it is definitely geared towards a much younger age group.

More structured activities and narrow down the age groups more. Something that interests a three year old isn’t necessarily going to be exciting or developmentally aligned to a 5 year old. Once the age group gaps is narrowed, the activities can be more specialized. Even if it’s just for a younger age group. I think the idea is a great one, more outdoor activities are awesome for development!
