Class Experience

Not enough accessories for your child’s American Girl or other brand of 18” doll? Workshops Essayer is thrilled to present a DIY afterschool program for students who love crafts and want to create whimsical and stylish accessories for their doll bestie. Projects include: fairy skirt, beaded necklace and bracelet and gladiator sandals. Students will explore a variety of techniques and skills as they work on these and other projects. For some of the projects, students will be able to make identical accessories for themselves as well.

For spring 2021, we will be running the classes a little differently than usual. AGD Crafts full season is 12 classes. We offer rolling admissions, which will allow students to start the class at any point from the week of January 10 to the week of May 10. By this we mean, once a student registers for the season, it will take about a week for their class kit to arrive. Once the kit arrives, the student can then join the rest of the class and start working on the project of the week. And then they will have the next 11 consecutive weeks to finish the program. We also offer make up classes on the weekends to help students who’ve missed class or need a little extra help to get caught up. We also offer custom scheduling, which means we can schedule classes per the student and instructor's calendar availability. Please let us know you require custom scheduling once your child has enrolled in the program.

Classes run for one hour, once a week. PLEASE NOTE: the time is EST. I am located in NJ. We have two sessions running: Monday at 4:30 pm and Tuesday at 7:30 pm.

Please allow 3 to 10 days for the class kit to arrive.

My daughter enjoyed the whole class, instructor, process ... and especially the cocoa bombs she sampled when finished! We will definitely be back for more!

Eddie was so warm and patient, and even though we were on opposite sides of the country, she connected with my daughter right away! The project was the perfect amount of time and challenged her dexterity and use of art supplies in a very constructive way. Plus the lantern turned out SO CUTE. Thanks for a great workshop!

Nothing, from start to finish the experience was very smooth

About Workshops Essayer

Workshops Essayer has been providing enrichment programs for private schools in New York City, Brooklyn and Hoboken, NJ for almost a decade. WE specializes in creative programs, specifically: culinary arts, design and bath & body product development. Some of our most loved classes include sewing basics, bath bomb making and of course any foods cooked with chocolate. Creative fun with just a hint of whimsy, a dash of impish charm and a sprinkle of imagination is what we strive for.
