Class Experience

Are you passionate about travel? Do you wish you could see the world, but you’re stuck at home this summer? Same here!

Join us, as we embark on a journey around the world, powered by LEGO!

Each day, we’ll “visit” a few destinations, learning about their people and cultures, studying the great feats of design and engineering they’ve created, and taking in their most famous sites and buildings.

As we travel, campers will have the opportunity to study these sites by building with LEGO.

Pack your bags, it’s time for vacation – MODA style!

Sites we’ll visit will include:

South Africa
South & Central America
The Caribbean
Mt. Everest & the Himalayas

All you’ll need for this studio is a computer or tablet with a reliable internet connection, and any LEGO you have. No specific sets or bricks are necessary.

Don’t have LEGO but still want to join in on the fun? No worries! Participants are welcome to build with any other materials they have available!

I loved that my son was inspired to create after viewing different cities.

I did not like the links to online gaming. There are a lot of parents who still do not let their children play online games at this age. My son had access to other games not recommended by the instructor as well with the links.

Structured activities and the videos.

I feel the instructor did not have a great handle on motivating or redirecting boys in this age group. There was more independent work time and less structured tasks. Also it seemed that the skill level should have been narrowed down to reduce the gap. Students who were more experienced were left waiting around for students who were struggling a large part of the day.

The making of the Lego mini game. The teacher was very knowledgeable and made the class fun.

Unity crashed all the time, so maybe a better game platform.
