Class Experience

Are you fascinated by the Seven Wonders of the World? Do you love building with LEGO? Join us for this week-long camp in which we will explore and learn about the great wonders of the world by building them in LEGO!

Throughout the camp, we’ll take a closer look at these breathtaking feats of architecture and engineering and the cultures that built them. We’ll hear the incredible stories behind the design of these structures, and we’ll learn about the processes used in their construction.

And, of course, we’ll create our very own LEGO Wonders of the World!

The New Seven Wonders of the World that we’ll explore are:

Great Wall of China
Cristo Redentor
Petra
Machu Picchu
Chichen Itza
Colosseum
Taj Mahal

All you’ll need for this studio is a computer or tablet with a reliable internet connection, and any LEGO you have. No specific sets or bricks are necessary.

Don’t have LEGO but still want to join in on the fun? No worries! Participants are welcome to build with any other materials they have available!

Loved:

Structured activities and the videos.

Improvements:

I feel the instructor did not have a great handle on motivating or redirecting boys in this age group. There was more independent work time and less structured tasks. Also it seemed that the skill level should have been narrowed down to reduce the gap. Students who were more experienced were left waiting around for students who were struggling a large part of the day.

Loved:

I loved that my son was inspired to create after viewing different cities.

Improvements:

I did not like the links to online gaming. There are a lot of parents who still do not let their children play online games at this age. My son had access to other games not recommended by the instructor as well with the links.
