Class Experience

>>>>> One-on-one Spanish Immersion (2 - 6 years)
Think about how your child has learned English. Has it been through classes on how to speak? If English is her native language, then of course not! She learns through you and others speaking to her, interacting with her, playing with her, and explaining things to her. In 1:1 immersion, your child will learn her second language the very same way. We’ll use the same methods of play-based learning and interactive games, stories, songs and activities that we use in our immersion playclasses, with even more focused attention on your child.

>>>> Private Spanish Classes for Kids (6 - 13 years)
In our private spanish classes, elementary aged students learn with one-on-one instruction and attention. We tailor these classes to the level and needs of the student using interactive games, stories, and conversation practice coupled with music, movement, and exciting visuals. Because this age group learns differently than the very young learners, these classes are as immersive as they can be, but English is used when needed to explain certain things, acting as a bridge between the students native language and the target language (Spanish). We focus on conversation and real world usage and our methods are anything but dry!

>>>>>> We recommend virtual sessions to be 45 minutes for optimal engagement, and many parents like to schedule two sessions a week to increase input frequency and keep up momentum. When booking, you must book between 4 - 8 sessions at a time.

>>>>>> You can arrange private instruction for siblings (within the same general age range) to do together, or can even schedule it as a charter class for friend groups.

Loved:

The idea of a bilingual class is amazing. Sarah is also a lovely teacher.

Improvements:

The group size. If group was smaller, there could be more interaction teacher/child, at least a minute of interaction with each child would have been great. The group was huge so it was impossible for Sarah to say more than a quick hello/goodbye.

Loved:

My daughter is not into online classes but she took on to Bilinguitos! Ms Kaila is very engaging, very energetic and fun. She interacts with the kids so that they stay engaged. The class has a different topic each time (insects, clothes, weather, food etc) and an art activity at the end that kids can keep doing after the class. My daughter is definitely learning and has no issues understanding in Spanish

About Bilingüitos Spanish Immersion

Bilingüitos exists to cultivate and celebrate bilingualism all around us. We are locally run Spanish immersion programs based out of Loudoun County, Virginia. As of summer 2020 we are also happy to be offering online programs. We offer language classes and programs for children of all ages — Mommy & Me, Preschool, Afterschool, you name it. We also have classes for adult learners because we believe in bilingualism for all! In addition to teaching language through classroom games, activities, and lessons, we also believe in enrichment programs (think interdisciplinary skills anywhere from science experiments to art projects to cooking classes to yoga) because we want our students to be able to use their bilingualism across all domains. Both at our facility and through off-site private/charter classes, we are committed to our local community. For all those in the pursuit of bilingualism, we extend the opportunity to learners of all linguistic backgrounds — native speakers, heritage language students, and second language learners alike. Our mission in the classroom is to create a positive multicultural learning environment where our students explore and discover freely, immerse themselves in a new language and culture, and gain the self-confidence they need as they grow into future bilingual leaders. Beyond the classroom, we are a vibrant and diverse community of families who are passionate about bilingualism and dedicated to instilling a lifelong love for learning in their children. We delight in bringing our local bilingual community together through playdates, storytimes, seasonal parties, movie nights, and other events all around Loudoun. Finally, through our online resources like our blog and podcast, we aim to equip parents with the knowledge and tools they need in order to forge the path to bilingualism for their children. We believe that adding and maintaining a second language is not always easy, but that it is always, A L W A Y S worth it!
