The Dalcroze Rhythmic- Solfège sequence provides all of the necessary building blocks to achieve success with any instrument. Rhythmic Solfège builds on the principles of learning music through movement with the addition of focused musical study on keyboard percussion; the end goal of the sequence is comprehensive musicianship!
This is a process-oriented program using the Dalcrozian tenants of joy, discovery and experiential education as its foundation, and delving into musical subjects and literature.
With the same principles and foundation as Dalcroze Eurhythmics, Rhythmic Solfège is designed to increase coordination, spatial awareness, flexibility, focus, emotional knowledge, and vocal precision.
We are grateful to The Dalcroze School of the Rockies for providing their curriculum for all of our Rhythmic Solfège classes. www.dalcrozeschooloftherockies.com
This program is available in person and online; please let us know your preference at checkout.
Please register no later than 24 hours before class.
All Rhythmic-Solfège™ students are required to purchase a metallophone (about $35, due at the first class). This instrument will be provided on the first day of classes and will be used throughout the Rhythmic-Solfège™ sequence (5-year sequence). Students must bring this instrument to each class along with a their workbook and completed homework assignments. Parents must practice with their child a minimum of 10 minutes, 5 days each week to ensure that their child is progressing and maximizing his or her potential.
*This class has 29-30 sessions scheduled, depending on location. The course is 28 sessions long; 1-2 additional sessions are included in the price in case of class cancellation. As long as fewer than 2 classes are cancelled throughout the term, no make-up sessions will be scheduled.
** Please note that all in-person students are required to bring their own water bottles, music book, and metallophones.
*** Please let us know at checkout whether you would prefer to join us in-person or online. Thank you.

My 7-year-old son LOVED camp this week, he came home excited after each day, sharing about what he did and talking about the plan for the next day! He wishes he had more camp with Integral Steps next week!

Dear Keshia, What a joy to have you and Kia in our demo class! Demo class sizes vary, but this Tuesday class already has 10 amazing students enrolled for our session starting next week - it's almost full, but we have two spots left, and it would be such a joy to welcome Kia. Wishing you a beautiful & musical week - hope to see you next week!

WE LOVE THIS CLASS! The instructor, Ms. Cora, is a phenomenal teacher and my preschooler can't wait for Mondays so she can attend her 'Science class.' The activities are pitched just right for the age group and the music portion is really helpful as a means of introducing children to music theory!

We love the variety of music and it's simplicity. I didn't realize my child enjoyed music until this class - he does the teacher's actions now when we are playing together!
