Class Experience

School lets out later? Join us for LATE after school (4:30 - 6:30 pm).
We've got virtual Dungeons & Dragons for after school fun!

This program is appropriate for kids new to Dungeons & Dragons to those more seasoned, as we divide kids into secure Zoom Rooms by age and experience. We will e-mail you instructions in advance on how to join in!

Dungeons & Dragons is a fantasy role-playing game set in an imaginary world based loosely on medieval myth. Players develop characters and go on quests -- game play is driven by narrative storytelling. We love to support those new to Dungeons & Dragons, and help them create a character and learn this complex game.

This program is ideal for social connection! Players work together to coordinate their complementary skill sets to problem-solve and overcome diverse challenges. Their cooperation translates into a sense of belonging and genuine social cohesion.

COST: Pay in full, or choose a payment plan of five $190 installments for the semester. The first installment is charged upon registration; subsequent installments are charged on the 1st of October - January. If you register after the start of the semester, your fee is pro-rated.

Want more than one session per week, or have two children who want to play? A discount of 5% is applied to each session purchased. You can even mix and match after school program types (online, outdoor, or indoors) -- and receive the 5% discount on all your programs.

If you wish to cancel after school, there is no cancellation fee during the first month and any upcoming fee installments are cancelled. If you cancel after the first month is completed, there are small cancellation fees based on when you cancel. This is outlined during the registration process. There are no credits given for paid sessions, but you can make up any sessions missed due to absence.

Our policies, such as our Terms & Conditions and Health and Safety protocol can be found in our website's footer.

Loved:

Camp did their best everyday to provide kids with an outdoor experience. My kid only had good things to say about the day camp (which is rare).

Loved:

My kids loved it - even my 6yo daughter, who was very nervous beforehand and trying to convince me she should stay home. When I picked her up at the end of the first day, she was excited to go back and annoyed I'd only booked two days of camp.

Improvements:

Dropoff was a little confusing.

About Brooklyn Game Lab - Park Slope

We don’t just teach kids how to play games; we teach them how to analyze, discuss, and experiment with their own variants in small groups. Our kids are encouraged to think out of the (game) box.Kids who engage in our specialized approach to gaming develop critical-thinking skills like risk and resource management, the art of negotiation and deduction, and long-term planning. The Lab also stresses the importance of fair play, diplomacy, collaboration, and a positive attitude however the game turns out. Located in Park Slope and DUMBO, Brooklyn Game Lab has classes and camps for kids!
