Class Experience

If you've been thinking about learning to draw, now is the time!  Join us for our adventures in learning to draw and paint.

We teach adults the foundations of drawing for 2-dimentional and 3-dimentional drawing.  This including composition, line and shapes, line texture, line quality and 3-dimentional form and shading.   The class also explores the art of using color as well as painting with watercolor.

Students explore how to draw realistically by expanding their ability to 'see as an artist' and identifying how lines create shapes and shapes create objects.  We refer to this as the 'alphabet of drawing.'  Students approach art projects by applying learned drawing principles as well as their own creativity in their drawings.  The class is introduced to different art mediums including drawing pencils, watercolor pencils, and other art mediums that create an exciting art project.  This is a live Zoom class and students learn by following the instructor in guided drawing and painting instruction.

For the Fall session, we are offering 13 classes from early September to late December.  Students are responsible for art materials.  A list of require art materials is sent following registration.
