Class Experience

Join us for Meal Planning 101 and learn amazing recipes for a successful week of delicious and nutritious food!

The 90/10 rule: 90% of health happens in the kitchen with what you eat everyday and 10% of health is the time you spend working out. 

We teach the proteins, energizing starches (carbs, gasp!), vegetables and prep/recovery juices that ensure a healthy balance, in every class, for six weeks, by a current chef and former personal trainer Chef Mark Chang.

Each class will discuss equipment, pantry and more ways to be successful with meal planning. By the end you will be enjoying the meal you hand cooked from scratch, a booklet with meal planning expertise developed by Chef Javier Loayza, and the recipes to make all dishes at home. 


Week 1:

    Prep and Recovery Juices -  Chai-Vanilla Strawberry Banana
      PROTEINS - Chipotle Roasted Chicken Breast
        Energizing Starches - Roasted Sweet Potato Wedges
          VEGETABLES - Roasted Salt & Pepper Broccoli

          Week 2:

            Prep and Recovery Juices  - Berry Strong
              PROTEINS -  Italian Beef & Turkey Meatballs
                Energizing Starches - Steamed Jasmine Rice
                  VEGETABLES - Cheesy Spinach

                  Week 3:

                    Prep and Recovery Juices  - Green Power Plant
                      PROTEINS - Chimichurri Pork Loin Chops
                        Energizing Starches  - Cheddar Grits
                          VEGETABLES - Curried Cauliflower Mash

                          Week 4:

                            Prep and Recovery Juices  - Elvis Punch
                              PROTEINS -  Lemon Herb Roasted Salmon
                                Energizing Starches -  Herb Butter Egg Boodles
                                  VEGETABLES - Roasted Brussels Sprouts

                                  Week 5:

                                    Prep and Recovery Juices -  Tropical Kick
                                      PROTEINS - Crock Pot Chicken Carnitas
                                        Energizing Starches - Turmeric Mashed Potatoes
                                          VEGETABLES - Garlicky Green Beans

                                          Week 6:

                                            Prep and Recovery Juices - Turbo Mango
                                              PROTEINS - Fajita Flank Steak
                                                Energizing Starches - Spiced Roasted Butternut Squash
                                                  VEGETABLES - One pan Asian Vegetable Medley

                                                  Purchase the entire week or drop-in on a week of your choosing. *Price is per person*

                                                  Classes are approximately 90 minutes – 2 hours

                                                  Price is per person, and unfortunately, Sawyer is limited in its ability to register multiple adults for a single class. So if you'd like to register another adult for this class, you must sign them up as your child. Simply choose "ADD CHILD” and enter your guest's name and a birthday. This will allow you to register another participant. Price is per person, so it will add the additional cost for the seat. Or you can have your guest(s) create an account and register themselves separately.

We pride ourselves on our cleanliness! You cannot make a true assessment on cleanliness after 20 children just completed cupcake wars. You picked up your child, you did not attend the class. Reviews like this are so ridiculous!!

Since 2009, Cookology Culinary School has offered cooking class experiences for adults and kids including birthdays, girl scouts badges, summer camps, family classes, and for adults we offer classes, team buildings, private parties, retirement and bridal events.

We get inspiration from the latest cooking trends to bring you truly entertaining classes that fit your budget and encourage you to cook, eat and enjoy fantastic food!

This year we have joined the virtual world, and utilize Webex to host all of our classes. When you purchase a class, you will immediately receive a link to the ingredient lists and recipes, as well as the Webex link.

We have two locations in Northern Virginia, Arlington and Sterling. We will be offering in-person classes when it is safe to reopen.
