Therapist

Background
Domenique Harrison is a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) and a Registered Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC) through the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. She is also a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT) and the American Counseling Association (ACA). Domenique received a Bachelor of Arts in History from Haverford College, a Master in Public Health from New York University, and a Master in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family therapy from Pepperdine University
Approach
Domenique grounds her therapeutic work in empathy, justice, and racial equity and believes in owning the impact of our words and actions rather than our intentions. Her therapeutic approach integrates transgenerational family therapy, narrative and solution-focused theories, and trauma-informed practices that lead to transformative individual, couple, and family client outcomes. Domenique – a compassionate collaborator and truth-teller – "stands in the gap" with her clients as they realize their truths and actualize their goals and passions.

Loved:

I enjoyed the various interactive activities and guided meditation a lot! I learned some great techniques that I will be applying to my own meditation and spiritual practice. Thank you!

Improvements:

Maybe next time the instructor can call on people to ensure participation and enhance flow of the class! Other than that it was awesome!!!
