Class Experience

School of Magic Arts presents our first workshop of 2022:  Unicorn Magic!  Do unicorns really exist?  They definitely will at SOMA this January!  In this virtual two-hour class, students will learn amazing magic tricks (that they will be able to perform by themselves at the end of the workshop) inspired by the world’s most legendary and magical animal.  They will also make their own horns and rainbow wands to give their magic show that true fairy tale touch.  Unicorn Magic is a special workshop that is open to our younger friends!  Typically the minimum age requirement for SOMA classes is 7, but for this workshop, we are accepting ages 6-14.

At SOMA, just like magic is for everyone, unicorns are for everyone!  Girls, boys, and nonbinary magicians are welcome to join in the fun.

Registration for this virtual workshop will close on Saturday, January 1st.   The workshop is two hours long, open to ages 6-14, and costs $50 to attend.  Participants will be sent an included kit with all supplies necessary.*

*Continental USA only.

My son learned a lot a really enjoyed the class. He tends to be shy, but I heard him talking up a storm in the class!

Brian and Annie are remarkable instructors who combine their infectious joy for magic with immeasurable patience, kindness, and support for their students. I cannot recommend SOMA enough! Our daughter has gained confidence and learned a new set of skills that will remain with her for years to come. Working with SOMA has been a COVID silver lining!

"I loved getting to share my magic with a big audience, and watch my fellow students perform their effects too!" -Mason, age 11

The audience could be auto-muted from the beginning and one of the presenters "pinned" so we know that we're in the right place. The link could be sent sooner to give more time to share with family and friends.

His favorite cat is named Willow.

About School of Magic Arts

School of Magic Arts was founded in 2017 by professional magicians Brian M. Kehoe and Annie Montone. Since then, SOMA has grown into a 365 day-a-year virtual stage magic school that offers group classes, camps, workshops, and private lessons. At School of Magic Arts, we believe that the best way to learn magic is to perform it (yes, even virtually!). Students are rewarded for their commitment to the art of stage magic by "leveling up" as they ascend through the ranks of our curriculum and perform in our shows. Whether they're with us for one lesson or several years, they'll gain the skills, confidence, and community they need to succeed.
