Class Experience

[DA] Club x MODA is designed to introduce BIPOC middle- and high-school students in the metro-Atlanta area to the field of architecture by providing them with a space to discuss ideas and create design projects, while learning from architecture and design professionals and college students.

Preparation for becoming an architect starts now, in the middle and high school years. Being part of a [DA] club shows colleges that you have taken initiative to learn more than was required about architecture, and introduces you to potential college references. It also gives you a chance to work on a design portfolio, a collection of projects that can include sketches, photography, paintings, sculpture, or any number of other artistic endeavors that show colleges your creative potential.

The [DA] Club x MODA is open to BIPOC middle- and high-school students in the metro-Atlant area. Public health permitting, students participating in MODA's [DA] Club will visit architectural studios and other sites in-person over the course of the 2021-2022 academic year.

Due to public health concerns, the [DA] club will primarily meet online. Students will be invited to attend field trips in the metro-Atlanta area.

The instructor had good energy.

The video was a bit laggy. Would have liked to have done more hands on work, but maybe that can be a later class!

The thing that I loved was that I learned about animation

Something that could be improved is recording the zooms so that we can go do animation again.
