YOGA 

I am a Child,  I need to relax and recharge as much as you mumma and papa!


I need time and space to just be, with no competitions, no busy distractions, no racing to the result, but just curosity and wonder to flourish in my body and mind. 


During yoga, children are encouraged to exercise, play, sing and dance freely.. with rules just enough to keep our class fun and functional.  Deep Breathing, Meditations and Mindful Movement helps them connect more deeply with the inner self, and develop an intimate relationship with the natural world that surrounds them. Yoga brings that marvelous inner light that all children have inside: Out to shine like the Sun we Salute Daily. 


Just like we can bet on the Sun to Rise and Shine the World, 

We can bet on Yoga to Rise and Shine Our Curious, Carefree, Caring Shiny Self: 

We Affirm Positive Beliefs,  Accept Difficulties and Break Through Habits that Dont Serve us.

IN CLASS


THEME:

* LEARN: We will get inspired by the story of a Legend, learn how they handled Karma, and took things in their stride!!! 

* THANK: In a world full of wants, we will focus on our blessings, and note how lucky we are, for being able to Live a new day, Breathe Fresh air, 

* EXPLORE: We will set intention to try something new, Explore & meet different people, know ourselves better each day... be a loving person, child, sibling, friend, student and citizen of this ever evolving, wondrous creation we call our Earth!


FOCUS:

🏵  Breath Regulation (Optional Retention) (To develop resilience against Upper respiratory disease in this Pandemic of CoVID-19) 

🏵  Inversion Asana, Innovative Asana, and Just More Asana (To change our perspectives and feed our brain much needed oxygen and rejuvenation) 

🏵  Chakra opening: Each Warmup will be designed to build energy at the base of the spine, and gradually build heat upward as we help the prana and the breath power through those energy centers!!! 

🏵  Niyamas (How to conduct ones self: Be clean, content, work hard, understand our true self through trying times, Stay devoted to a higher cause) 

🏵  Yamas (How to conduct ones outside world: Be Truthful, Be Unharming, Do not steal attention, money, fame from someone else, Use energies wisely, Mind your greed)

Notes

Please have your child bring a yoga mat, a water bottle to class!
The device should be placed about 6 ft. away from the child yoga mat for best visibility of their pose and corrections!

  • Warmup & Breathing (5 mins)
  • 4 Sun Salutations + corrections ( 7 mins)
  • 3-4 Easy Yoga poses Or 1 Advanced Pose is Taught (10 mins)
  • Game  (10 mins)
  • Yoga Song - Let Go and Burn Energy (5 mins)
  • Shavasana - Guided Relaxation (5 mins)
  • Closing Circle (5 mins)

How To Participate

Attend class via Zoom video

This class will be hosted on Zoom video conferencing platform. You will receive an email 30 minutes before class starts with a link to the class and access instructions. We recommend you make sure your device is up to date and meets all system requirements before class.

Wonderful small classes and the instructor takes time to engage each child. Wonderful stories and it's easy for my daughter to get each pose and stay interested overall.
