Class Experience

Learn how to improvise and create hilarious performances just like the Story Pirates! Whether you’re an experienced performer, or just trying it out for the first time, our actors and teachers will make performing fun and easy, as you play games with other kids over Zoom, and learn comedy fundamentals used by the Story Pirates themselves. This month we’ll focus on a style of improv created specially by the Story Pirates, where kids will learn to bring a whole story to life on the spot, without planning it ahead of time!

This camp is a small group Clubhouse. Kids will be grouped together by age and have a chance to meet each other and interact throughout class.

Loved:

Lots of opportunities to engage. The pirates were full of energy and encouragement. My son was thrilled to see the Story Pirates he knows from the podcast and hear them say his name. He got off the screen and said “We gotta write a story! No. A movie.” And we just spent 2 hours plotting and enacting a nutty script. Though it was a new idea, I could totally recognize the story structure the pirates had taught and modeled with him.

Improvements:

Loved it.
