Class Experience

Do you play Roblox/have you heard of it and want to take it to the next level? Have fun while you learn the behind of this popular game! In this popular camp, students will create their own games in Roblox! Students will learn both the basics of 3D game development and fundamental programming concepts using the Lua programming language. This camp is designed for beginner to intermediate students who are interested in both programming and game development. The workshops are fun, educational and practical!  


Prerequisites -


Windows or MacOS Laptop -Roblox Studio (Free) -Active Roblox account - Coder editor plugin installation Roblox studio can be downloaded for free. More details about the plugin installation will be sent out in the confirmation email.

Who can participate?
This course is suitable for anyone aged 10-13 who wants to learn the behind of Roblox game. Are you a little older or younger? Please contact us at sandra@coderise.co or 347-863-8700 to see if the course matches your experience.

The course is suitable for beginners with no experience, but also offers a challenge if you do have some experience. For example, if you have already gained some experience in Scratch, or have participated in other coding camps, then this course is also suitable for you! When registering, we will ask you a number of questions about your prior knowledge, to get a good idea of ​​the levels in the group.

Sample Class Format

The course takes place online in Zoom. The trainers give interactive workshops. With the help of instructional videos and guidance from the trainers, you will then start programming games in smaller, breakout rooms. In addition, we start every week with an energizer, to get to know each other better. And of course, we take a break in between. On the last day of the course, there will be an online demo that you can invite family or friends, so they can see online what we did during the course! Our trainers are experts in programming, game building, and teaching young people, so you'll learn from the best. The workshops are fun, educational, and practical!
