Class Experience

Join us in designing and decorating our very own cozy winter house. Paint and add outdoor decorations to create the perfect piece for your fireplace mantel!

Notes

We use several types of tools in our maker workshops and camps.

In order for students to fully participate, we expect them to:
1. Use full sized scissors independently
2. Use a hot glue gun independently.
3. Know how to tie a knot and a bow.

Our camps and workshops tend to be messy, especially our STEAM sessions and process art classes. We frequently use paint, sticky substances like resin and clay, and tools like screwdrivers and cardboard saws. Please come in clothes that can get something on them that may not wash out.

We provide appropriate tools and help guide children through activities safely. Design Hive instructors have the expectation that ALL children will participate and use ALL provided tools. Please make sure that this sounds appealing to both you and your child prior to registering.

Please abide by our age recommendations. They are in place for the safety of your child and the other children attending.

**COVID Safety: Due to the ongoing pandemic we ask that guests ages 3+ who are not fully vaccinated wear masks at all times in the studio. We also ask that guests wash hands upon entering the studio and when transitioning to new activities. If a child or anyone in their household has been diagnosed or exposed to Covid, or shows cold/flu-like symptoms to please stay at home.**

We made a beautiful centerpiece to take home for Thanksgiving. We also loved learning a new technique: marbling.

I loved this class!! It was such a fun Friday activity for me and my friends and I would love to do it again!

Improvements:

This is really a small thing but the pictures of the candles on the website were different then the candles we made. They had crystals in them. I actually like our candles more but just something I noticed!

Our Girl Scouts learned so much and had a blast doing it. Jen and Lauren did a wonderful job keeping the girls engaged in the activity and excited about the project. They were also able to make a to go bag for one of our girls that was not able to attend the event in person.

Improvements:

I can’t think of anything
