Class Experience

Siegfried is trying to decide on a new pet to adopt, but he is having some problems, and needs your advice. It turns out that evil magic squirrels, polar bears, dragons and narwhals don’t make great pets. But how will he find a pet fit for a Viking?? Kids are invited to bring their own pets on Zoom to share, as they work with our teaching artists to imagine new pets, and attempt to help Siegfried find the right pet friend for him. There’s spy activity afoot at the beach! We’ll need to explore fancy hotels, search for hidden submarines, crack mysterious codes, and as always, be on the lookout for robotic sharks patrolling the water. We need spy recruits for this important mission--please join us!

This camp is a small group Clubhouse. Kids will be grouped together by age and have a chance to meet each other and interact throughout class.

Loved:

Lots of opportunities to engage. The pirates were full of energy and encouragement. My son was thrilled to see the Story Pirates he knows from the podcast and hear them say his name. He got off the screen and said “We gotta write a story! No. A movie.” And we just spent 2 hours plotting and enacting a nutty script. Though it was a new idea, I could totally recognize the story structure the pirates had taught and modeled with him.

Improvements:

Loved it.
