Class Experience

For players with no chess experience or just starting to be familiar with the names and moves of the pieces. We will teach you the basics of the game including: rules of the game; names and movements of the pieces; basic concepts of what to do in the beginning/middle/end of the game; chess terminology. We will also provide you with a place available 24/7 to play and practice, where we can track your progress.

Notes

An email reminder with a link to our Zoom class will be sent out 30 min. before each class. We will use the same link for each class.

Other Things To Know

Homework

Students should plan to practice online several times a week for at least 15 minutes. This can include playing games, completing online lessons, puzzles and participating in weekly tournaments.

Covid-19 Precautions

In an effort to keep students and staff safe, each will use hand sanitizer when they arrive and sets will be sanitized between uses. If students show symptoms they should attend a weekly online class.

How To Participate

You will receive an email 30 minutes before class starts with a link to the class and access instructions.

We couldn't agree more, the best of both worlds. Exercise your mind and your body then cool off at the creek. We're so happy to hear the boys are having a great time!
