Class Experience

Would you like to improve your child's communication skills? Would you like to build their self-confidence and strengthen their analytical skills? Our program can help you accomplish this while simultaneously engaging their imagination and developing their leadership skills.  Our student lead weekly sessions will teach your child the art of public speaking through fun, challenging and engaging activities.

Notes

Class minimum of 10 students.

Class Requirements

  • Pre-Assessment requested but not required.

What you'll learn

  • Students will learn how to prepare, and present speeches.  A few of the skills they will learn include listening skills, organizing a speech, understanding their audience, body language and impromptu speaking.  They will also be introduced to forums and debates.

Sample Class Format

  • Each weekly session lasts for 1 1/2 hours. Students will give speeches or presentations each week and will receive feedback to help them strengthen their individual presentation skills. We will also focus on listening skills and will learn how to give and receive constructive feedback.  The sessions will be conducted by the students which will develop their leadership skills.

Yolanda W.

Yolanda Wright is the Executive Director of Stats Free Living, Inc. ™, a non-profit organization that helps parents and educational organizations empower students with communication tools. These tools help students demonstrate their intelligence and creativity so they can pursue opportunities once thought out of reach for them. Her passion is to shape the minds of youth today to become the leaders of tomorrow. She has established and conducted programs since 2016.
