Children learn the fundamentals of art - color, line, shape, form and texture - by painting and drawing, making collages and fashioning three-dimensional objects out of modeling material.
Art is an important part of your child's early childhood education, regardless of whether you think he will grow up to be another Picasso. Children are active learners, and making art is a hands-on activity that expands imaginations and exercises creativity. It also develops small motor control and eye/hand coordination, and sharpens children's powers of observation. Our Art Start program is designed as the building blocks for your child's life-long learning path. Three and four year olds recognize patterns, learn about colors, gain an understanding of composition, balance, and symmetry and learn how to work independently as well as how to function as part of group.
• This is not a mommy & me class. Children must able to remain in class without a parent/guardian. Children must also be potty trained. Starting age is 3.5 years.
