Ages 6–10
Wrap up the weekend with a workshop all about wrapping and winding yarn to make slithery snakes or the softest of scarves. Knowledgeable knitter and owner of South End based Bead + Fiber Larissa will guide aspiring fiber artists ages 6–10 through the process of knitting with a loom, a kid tested handheld device perfect for easy knitting projects. Participants will leave with fundamental knitting knowledge, a loom for later exploration, and a handmade creation of their own.

About Larissa
Larissa Callahan is a fiber artist and small business owner at Bead + Fiber in Boston's SoWa district. She received a BFA in Fashion Design from Syracuse University in 2013, and has worked in the retail world ever since. In June 2017 Larissa took over B+F from the previous owner and decided to keep the business alive. She teaches workshops in various techniques for jewelry making and knitting, and is most excited to share her love for handcrafts with younger generations.
