In this workshop local potter Jenna Komarin will teach us the fundamental techniques of how to make a hand built ceramic coil pot. In the first session, Sunday 2/25, we will learn the process of designing and building your own coil vessel out of clay. In the second part, Sunday 3/11, we will tackle the process of glazing. We will glaze our pots to make them fully functional for household use. The focus of instruction will be on learning basic hand building processes and techniques with an emphasis on the relationship between form and function.
