This is four hours of art and outdoor fun, taught by Brian Letizia! Programming at the ONE Arts Center is focused on fun, and all the different ways artists can express themselves. We spend our time making art projects in a variety of media, learning techniques, building skills, and discussing art. We will also spend extra time outdoors daily, playing field games, going on walks or visiting parks. We do school work too. If your student has any school work that could be easily done at the art center, please bring it and if they have a class meeting to attend, we accommodate that as well. This class is for ages 11-13. When students arrive at camp, they will have their temperature taken with a touchless thermometer and sanitize their hands. Students and teachers will wear masks and practice physical distancing. Table surfaces, door knobs, faucet handles, light switches, chairs, and other frequently touched items will be disinfected daily after camp.
Students must bring and wear a mask. Please advise your child to dress in clothes that can get messy, or bring a smock from home. Because of COVID, we are no longer providing shared smocks at our daily programs. Pack a full change of clothes, seasonal weather appropriate clothes and gear, such as sunscreen and/or sun hats for summer and snow pants, hats, and gloves for winter. We do spend time outside and we want everyone to be comfortable. We encourage your child to bring in outdoor toys/balls/games that allow distancing. Please pack any schoolwork that could be reasonably completed. Please pack a large lunch with additional snacks and a large water bottle or other drink. Drop off and pick is done one family at a time, so if someone is already in the space dropping off please wait outside or in your car. Adults also must wear masks inside our space. Registration is for the whole semester, but we will refund any future classes if schools return to their regular schedules or if you need to leave the program for any other reason.
