This is a full day of art and outdoor fun! Programming with ONE Arts is focused on fun, and all the different ways an artist can express themselves. We spend our time making art projects in a variety of media, practicing drama, story telling, dancing, playing organized games, as well as having free imaginative play time. We will spend extra time outdoors daily, playing field games, going on walks and scavenger hunts. We may be able to get some school work done too. If you child has any school work that could be easily done at the art center, please pack it in your child's backpack. We will do our best to support learning outside of school. These classes are for ages 5-11. When kids arrive, they will have their temperature taken with a touchless thermometer and wash or sanitize their hands. Students and teachers will wear masks and practice physical distancing. Table surfaces, door knobs, faucet handles, light switches, chairs, and other frequently touched items will be disinfected daily after camp.
Children must bring and wear a mask. Please bring your child in clothes that can get messy, or bring a smock from home. Because of COVID, we are no longer providing shared smocks at our daily programming. Pack a full change of clothes, seasonal weather appropriate clothes and gear, such as sunscreen and/or sun hats, or raincoats and rain boots, or snow pants, hats, and mittens. We do spend time outside and we want the kids to be comfortable. Please pack a large lunch with additional snacks and a large water bottle or other drink. We encourage your child to bring in outdoor toys and games that allow distancing. Please pack any schoolwork that could be reasonably completed. Park in the lot behind the building, accessible from North Street. Drop off and pick is done at the back door near the colorful mural behind the building. Follow the signs for Very Merry Theater to find the door. I will refund for any future classes if schools return to their regular schedules or if you need to leave the program for any other reason. Extended Care is available and takes place at the ONE Arts Center. Students who sign up for extended care will walk with a teacher to the art center 1.5 blocks away and continue the fun there until pick up by 5:30.
