Class Experience

On this day of camp we will learn about the original inhabitants of Vermont, the Abenaki. We'll explore Abenaki culture through books, art, stories and making our own art.

Meet your Instructor

Mikayla M.

Mikayla was born and raised in Vermont. She previously worked at TW Wood Art Center in Montpelier where she taught after school art and summer camps. She has ten plus years of experience working with kids in all different settings. She earned a BFA in Studio Arts at Johnson State College in 2018 and received a MFA in Studio Arts with a concentration in Painting and Sculpture at NVU-Johnson in 2020. Mikayla loves to paint, make installation art, craft, travel and play tennis.
