For independent riders who are looking to gain skills, endurance, adventure and fun on bikes, on foot and on the yoga mat! Our new collab camp with our friends from Braveheart will include a morning adventure on wheels, socially-distanced lunch in the shade, and an afternoon of yoga and other mindfulness activities, and running and run games.
Riders MUST be pedaling independently (no training wheels), able to start, stop and control speed on hills proficiently. This is not a Learn to Ride camp.
Campers will improve bike handling skills, learn how to ride safely in a group, and will work together to navigate to new destinations, often incorporating games, crafts, nature observation and scavenger hunts into each day's bike ride adventure and afternoon programming.
Required Equipment: bicycle in good working order (hand brakes and gears strongly suggested), helmet, bike gloves, water bottle or hydration pack and peanut-free/tree nut-free snack. Campers must be able to carry their own food and water independently and safely on the bike each day.
COVID19 Precautions: Parents will be responsible for daily symptom check prior to drop off. We request only one parent and no siblings at drop off and pick up. Instructors/counselors will wear mask and gloves and adhere to CDC camp protocols for COVID 19. Maximum of 8 campers/2 staff. Regular hand sanitizing throughout the camp day, socially distanced snack time with no food sharing permitted, minimal close contact activities. We’ll spend our days riding bikes, which provides natural social distancing. Please do NOT send your child to camp if camper or any family member is exhibiting cold or flu symptoms or fever or illness of any kind. We are committed to providing a safe and fun outdoor experience for our campers, in a relaxed environment that will allow for some much-needed worry-free time to be a kid!
Refund policy: PedalPower Kids gift card credit- can be used towards future programs or camps. Or, find someone to fill your spot and we’ll refund less $20 admin fee.
