Description
Explore the art of movement! In this class, we engage our creativity to develop gross motor skills and learn basic concepts of movement. Through the use of story-telling and imaginative play, children explore the elements of space, time, force, body, movement and form. The benefits of creative movement include aerobic exercise, self-expression, learning cooperation and developing body awareness, control and coordination. Andrea Cilento has a long dance history, beginning with Creative Dance classes at the age of two. Her teaching is based on the work of Creative Dance pioneer Anne Green Gilbert, founder of BrainDance. Above all, this class is a place for children to discover the joy of Creative Movement!
