Birthday Parties
Schedule a private Birthday Party pottery class tailored for your group! To get started, complete the inquiry form, and a member of our team will contact you within 5–7 business days to coordinate your class. Please note that classes are subject to instructor availability, and some requests may not be accommodated.
Please note that submitting an inquiry does NOT book a class. A class is not booked until SCCA has confirmed workshop details with you and payment is made.
Planning Details:
- Requests require at least 2 weeks’ notice for scheduling.
- Classes are priced as flat-rate workshops, based on group size and activity.
Pricing & Duration:
- 1–2 Participants: $250 flat rate for a 2-hour session.
- Additional Participants: $100 per person for groups larger than 2, up to a maximum of 20 participants total.
Project Details:
- Birthday Crowns: Get ready to build and celebrate! Each student will craft their very own birthday crown using slab-building techniques. With stamps and a variety of underglazes, everyone will add their personal flair to create a festive, one-of-a-kind accessory that’s as fun to make as it is to wear!
- Birthday Cake Jar: Sculpt a slice of celebration—with a surprise inside! Students will design and build their own birthday cake slice jar using slab techniques, then bring them to life with colorful underglazes and playful surface designs. Each delicious-looking creation doubles as a functional jar and a sweet expression of creativity—no fork required!
- Cupcake Jar: Whip up a pinch pot cupcake—sweet and functional! In this fun-filled activity, students will create their own cupcake-shaped jars using pinch pot techniques. Once sculpted, we’ll decorate each one with vibrant underglazes to mimic the look of a real celebratory treat. The result? A delightful jar that looks good enough to eat!
Classes can be hosted at SCCA's classroom, or at an off-site location. *If you are wanting to book an off-site location, please include the location information in your inquiry notes.
Provide your friends with a fun and educational experience as they create their own clay masterpieces. We can’t wait to help them bring their ideas to life!

Upon scheduling of your class or program, you will be charged a deposit for 1/4 of the total program fee. Deposit must be paid within three (3) business days in order to reserve that date on SCCA's schedule. If deposit is not paid within three (3) business days, the reservation will be cancelled.
If you cancel your reservation less than 72 hours prior to the scheduled date and time, you will not receive back your deposit.
If a lesser number of students attend than were priced in the deposit, the final total can be adjusted in the final invoice.
Final invoice is to be paid at time of program or through online invoice. Final invoice must be paid within three (3) business days of the program date.
SCCA will not begin firing and completing your ceramics pieces until final invoice is paid.
