Class Experience

Registration Deadline: Monday, July 19, 2021

In this five day camp, students will learn about five very different magicians and their most famous effects, from Kruti Parekh's mentalism to Harry Houdini's escapes to David Copperfield's large-scale illusions. They will also construct at least one prop a day to use in performance, and at the end of the week, will participate in a magic show! This is a great camp for students who might be interested in the history of magic.

School of Magic Arts Summer Camps provide an opportunity for students, both new and currently enrolled, to take a “deep dive” into the study, performance, and creation of stage magic.

Camp themes like “Eight Types of Magic”, “Magicians We Love”, and "Superheroes" engage campers, whether first-timers or seasoned SOMA students, with hands-on prop building activities, new effects each day, social games, and performance opportunities.

All essential materials needed are included in the camp fee, and will be sent straight to your door! Materials will be sent to you to the address provided upon registration. If you do not receive your materials prior to the first day of camp, please reach out to us.
