--Parents should make sure their child arrives to camp no later than 9:00 am.
--STBU closes at 5:00pm. In the event a parent, guardian or responsible individual arrives after 5:35pm, a late fee of $10.00 is charged. $2.00 per minute will be charged per minute per child for every minute after 5:35.
--Parents are expected to make sure their child is in his/her camp T-shirt on the required days.

Something To Build Upon's Summer Camp offers a variety of activities to keep children stimulated and engaged during the summer months. These activities include structured sports instruction (basketball, tennis, martial arts and soccer), art projects, and music instruction.

STBU is still confirming a tumbling team that will also provide lessons..TBA

Campers will take weekly swim lessons with our phenomanal swim coach, Rudolph Henry. They will enjoy weekly field trips such as roller skating, horseback riding, bowling, Hollywood Park amusement facility and more TBA. STBU will also include book club activities, STEM activities and Spanish lessons (Living The Language instructors) as academic enriching activities.

Your camper will keep busy and be fully engaged during our 7 week summer camp.

No refunds or prorated fees will be given for absences, illness, vacation, suspension, cancellations due to weather, facility issues, school closures, COVID-related closures, or any other issues beyond STBUinc and its partners controls.

Any child picked up and signed out of STBU camp for the day may not return until the next day.

*Use your words to express emotions such as happiness, excitement, anger and frustration.

*Use your inside voice when inside.
*Running and sport activity are only allowed outside or inside at designated play area(s).
*Use manners, such as saying please, thank you, no thank you, excuse me or I’m sorry.
*Take pride in our program space, pick up after yourself and one another; everyone needs to pitch in to help keep our space nice and clean (remember we are all members of the STBU community).
*Hitting and fighting is not tolerated.
*Do not take or touch things that do not belong to you.
*Throwing things is not permitted at all.
*Always ask for permission to leave a designated area.

Each day consists of daily structured activities:

Mock schedule: (final schedule will be emailed when finalized no later than May 15, 2023)

7:30-9:00 am Drop off/ free time in gym (board games etc)
9:00-9:45am breakfast/bathroom break

9:45-10:00 am Morning mindfulness

10:00am-1:00pm (rotation of structured activities based on age and. group)
1:00-2:00 pm Lunch
2:00-3:30 pm D.E.A.R time/technology usage (children will use chromebooks etc)
3:30-4:00 Snack
4:00-5:00 Free Time and Dismissal

***On swim and field trip days there will be a different schedule since the campers will be out of the buildings
