POLICIES AND TERMS UPDATE- 2.1.2018
1. Lessons are billed on a monthly tuition plan. Lessons are not billed on a “lesson received” or individual basis. All payments are
via a debit on a credit card. Lessons can be suspended due to non payment. Payments will be made on the fifth of each month. Late charges will be assessed for late payment and declined credit cards.There may be additional charges for materials. We do not pro-rate tuition to accommodate for vacations or missed lessons. In the event that you take an extended vacation we will charge for the month you intend to be absent and credit the month you return.
2. Lesson Cancelations: Lessons must be cancelled with a 24 hour notice to receive a make up lesson. To cancel a lesson you must email schedule@columbiarockschool. No other form of communication is accepted for lesson cancellations. Do not contact any teachers regarding schedule changes. To permanently cancel lessons with the Columbia Rock School you must give a thirty day notice to email schedule@columbiarockschool.com When you give thirty days notice all remaining lessons can be complet- ed. No changes to schedule or make-up lessons will be made during final 30 days.
3. Sign Up Fee:There is a one time only $29.00 sign up fee per family.
4. School Closures: The Columbia Rock School will be closed the following dates. New Years Eve, New Years Day, Easter Sun- day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving Day, Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christ- mas Day. Also weather closings will be announced day of closing. We DO NOT follow any local school system.
5. Open Door/ Monitoring Policy: Parents are encouraged to sit in on lessons from time to time. We have an open door policy for lessons. Teachers will always want to talk and touch base with parents weekly. The Columbia Rock School uses video cameras to monitor all lessons.
6. Injuries: Parents, legal guardians, babysitters, and caregivers of minors waive the right to any legal action for injuries sustained on school property resulting from normal lesson activity or any other activity conducted by students, parents or their siblings be- fore during and after lesson times including hearing loss. The Columbia Rock School supplies hearing protection at the school. The Columbia Rock School is not responsible for any damage or loss due to theft.
7. Picking Up: Children must wait for their parents inside The Columbia Rock School. Please do not have student meet you else- where. The Columbia Rock School can assume no responsibility for any student who is outside the school or is told to meet their parents elsewhere. Students may stay inside the school until parents arrive. Parents are encouraged to stay at the school for the duration of their lesson.
8. School Concerts: Our goal at The Columbia Rock School is to get every student involved in our band programs. With these programs students will learn 3-4 songs in a 12-14 week rehearsal program. At the end of this program we play a concert for all of the students families and friends. We charge a concert fee for every student involved in the program. The cost of the concert fee is $35.00. This will be charged to your credit card on file the week of the show.
