Improv

Ages 2nd - 12th grade

Description

Improv is a type of theatre in which the characters and story are made up in the moment, with a suggestion or idea to jump things off. There are improv games, some rules that make it all possible, and a whole lot of saying “yes” to others’ offers in the scenes! It encourages leadership, fellowership, and teaches students to support each other, embrace what makes them individuals and helps to leave stage fright in the dust.

In addition to Improv basics, students will learn how to develop improv characters that go beyond just a funny voice, building characters that that have depth and dimension.
