Description
A prop in theatre is any moveable or portable object used on the stage by actors. Props are critical in developing character and location, and in telling a theatrical story. In this hands on class, students learn how to determine what props are needed on stage, design and source materials, and then construct and craft props that are used on the stage by fellow students in the current productions!
It is very helpful for all students who are interested in theatre, on the stage or back stage, to learn about what goes into making and working with props because props are an essential part of so much of theatrical storytelling. This is also an excellent first class for students who haven’t tried tech or design previously. Join us for this fun, creative, hands on class!
