Build a Fort!
A fun Introduction to Scenic Design using fort construction to introduce the concepts of creative collective brainstorming, designing and building.
Join PAA’s staff Member Adam Lillibridge, our Resident Production Manager & Technical Director on this fun workshop adventure!
We will learn how to develop a cohesive scenic design as a team, explore design fundamentals (i.e. balance, style, form and function), and we will learn how our our design can give context and help to tell a story.
Once our fort is built we will stage a brief scene together using all of the context clues that our design has provided.
Though this hands on, fun fort building workshop, students will discover the exciting possibilities in collaborative design, and learn how technical theatre critical to storytelling on stage.
No experience needed!
