Build and code a robot! Campers will get introduced to the VEX robotics system as they build a robot with metallic parts, nuts and bolts, allen wrenches, and screw drivers! Students will learn about basic drive trains and experiment with various sensors. This course is also an introduction to C coding. Campers will use the RobotC interface to learn to code their robot using a text-based system to control their robot both autonomously and via a remote. This course is also a great first step for students interested in the VRC competition! All students will work 1:1 with technology materials.
• Students will work individually on a laptop. We are able to provide laptops for all students. However, students are encouraged to bring their own laptop if they have one. This will allow them to more easily continue their learning after camp. We will help install proper software, which will allow campers to continue working on their projects once camp has ended. • Please pack your child a re-usable water bottle, 2-3 snacks to enjoy during snack break, and a bag lunch. Also, be sure to dress them in comfy shoes as we will be playing some games outside! • Optional extended care (AM & PM) and lunch is available with additional purchase at check out. • Want more info?
