Electronics are in everything! This course covers the basics or prototyping circuits using breadboards. Campers will learn about basic components including LEDs, resistors, capacitors, transistors, and IC chips. They will also learn to incorporate inputs like buttons, switches, distance sensors, and sound triggers into their circuits. Half-way though the week, campers will take their skills to the next level by getting introduced to Arduino and coding in the C language. Students will learn to code in C to make their circuits do various challenges. Programming concepts covered include basic syntax, commenting, loops, conditional statements, programming with PWMs, writing functions, and more!
• Students will work individually on a laptop. We are able to provide laptops for all students. However, students are encouraged to bring their own laptop if they have one. This will allow them to more easily continue their learning after camp. We will help install proper software, which will allow campers to continue working on their projects once camp has ended. • Please pack your child a re-usable water bottle, 2-3 snacks to enjoy during snack break, and a bag lunch. Also, be sure to dress them in comfy shoes as we will be playing some games outside! • Optional extended care (AM & PM) and lunch is available with additional purchase at check out. • Want more info?
