Description
The robots are coming! The robots are coming! In this session, young Robotics Engineers will be immersed in the wonderful world of robots. They will design their own robot for the future, get familiar with what robots do in our society, build robots to take home, and program robots to perform basic tasks.
Notes:
Within our TechFests, we will engage with your child in computer programming, robotics, and creative technologies. Sessions will involve an introduction to a specific technology and/or physical computing device, such as Arduino, Raspberry Pi, Micro:bit, or Makey Makey, and we'll teach your child how to develop code to program the device to perform functions, such as power a motor, emit a sound, and connect with other devices. In these sessions, if we are engaging in robotics, we will cover building robots, as well as programming the robots to perform basic tasks. No prior experience is necessary, as we will meet your child where she/he is, and extend their skills from there! Thank you so much for considering STEM Kids NYC!

• The public entrance to Lerner Hall is not on Broadway. Please walk around to the left (Northern) side of Lerner Hall, and walk east, as if you are heading onto the quad area of the campus. You will then see a set of doors to enter into Lerner Hall. Please check in with security, and we will have one of our staff there to receive you and your family.
