Description
Join Justin LaRocca Hansen, author and illustrator of the Secondhand Heroes trilogy, for a graphic novel workshop. Students will go through the entire process of creating a graphic novel from idea to finished product. Each class will advance the students’ ideas, fleshing out characters, developing the story, sketching, penciling, inking and coloring their comic until they have a fully realized graphic novel.
Justin LaRocca Hansen was raised in a small town in Massachusetts, spending his summers in Cape Cod. He has loved comics, drawing, and watercolor since he was very young, and his childhood adventures continue to inspire his storytelling today. After receiving his undergraduate training at the Ringling College of Art and Design in Florida, Justin began teaching in Massachusetts and then New York. He is the author/illustrator of Monster Hunter and the Secondhand Heroes Graphic novel trilogy. He lives in Brooklyn with his wife and collection of Springsteen records.
