Jan 16th: Super Hero Action Figures
We'll explore what it means to be a hero and to stand up for what's right then we'll design our own superhero character and sculpt our action figures using oven-bake clay and a few of our best tricks.
Feb 20th: Automatas
What is an automata? It’s a wind-up moving contraption. We’ll work on mechanics and engineer super cool automata using wood, cardboard, and sticks.
Feb 21st: Marble Runs
Science, design, and high rolling make this the perfect workshop for all those tinkerers out there. We'll build epic marble runs, test them out, and have so much fun!
SPRING BREAK: CRAFTY CRITTERS
March 27th: Insect Houses
We’ll use wood, wire screen, and more to create our own durable and portable bug catchers.
28th: Pocket-sized Scrapwood Animals
Let’s make a mini-menagerie using our imaginations, cool tools, and loads of scrap wood.
29th: Under the Sea Stuffies
Design, stitch, and stuff your very own under-the-sea-inspired felt stuffie.
30th: Wall-Mounted 3-D Animal Portraits
Think taxidermy only peaceful and made from wood, upcycled materials, cardboard, and paint.
31st:Papier Mache(ish) Birds
Students will flex their expert knowledge of birds by making a life-size (or close) paper and/or fabric bird on a wire and wood perch.
April 3rd: Animal House
At almost every open workshop, we see kiddos building cardboard structures for their favorite stuffies. Bring your favorite lovey and we’ll design and build custom tiny houses for them!
2022 COVID Policy Updates
CAMP DAYS: 22 students per day max 1:11 teacher:student ratio
Students must wash their hands upon arrival and departure.
Some materials and tools may be shared.
Masks are now optional.
Camp days may have up to two teen interns attending and assisting. All will be fully vaccinated.
Our staff is fully vaccinated.
If your child has symptoms or is diagnosed with COVID, please do not attend and get in touch with us.
We will continue to utilize enhanced cleaning procedures as well as our air filtration system, we will also have windows and doors open as much as possible.
2022 Registration Policies
Due to material price increases and our desire to pay our staff a living wage, some of our programming prices have increased.
Camps & Classes:
Prepayment is required for all programs.
Registrations are non-refundable, please check your dates carefully.
Refunds may be given if a class is canceled or the class has a waitlist. If we are able to confirm payment from a participant off of the waitlist, a refund will be issued. This is not guaranteed.
You may request your registration be transferred to another person.
Classes may be canceled up to 5 days before the event if class minimums are not met. If this is the case, we will contact you and either move your fees to credit or provide a refund.
We strictly enforce all age restrictions for camps and classes.
Sibling discounts apply only to children living in the same household. Please do not register friends together to obtain the discount. Your registration may be canceled.
All forms and fields must be completed in your child’s Sawyer profile prior to attendance.
We have a limited pool of resources available for scholarships. Please reach out if you’re in need. We do not check financial information. We trust you know your needs.
