The Language and Laughter Studio, located in Boerum Hill for sixtheen years, boasts a creative, artistic, math and science integrated, play-based progressive French education that has welcomed families and seen them grow over the years.

At LLS, we offer a play-based French Immersion program that combines the founding principles of Progressive Education with a rigorous French language program designed to maintain and foster fluency.  Our classrooms offer warm and nurturing spaces for children to expand their thinking, build confidence and resilience, and learn to approach relationships with understanding and empathy. Our teachers are highly trained French speakers, who are deeply committed to each child's intellectual, emotional, and physical development.  We spend several full school days per week in a nearby park, which offers incredible opportunities for children to deeply connect to nature. It is a wonderful compliment to the days spent indoors, and builds strong resilience, collaboration and problem solving. We also bring in visiting artists, storytellers, and movement teachers several times a year.  

Nearly all of our children go on to continue their schooling in Dual Language Elementary programs in both private and public schools throughout New York City.  Our Mini-Maternelle is composed of two classrooms, a Petite Section with children ages 2.5-3.5 and a Grande Section for children ages 3.5 - 5. 

Our school day runs from 9:30am to 2:30pm with the option of adding additional programming in the mornings and afternoon for a school day that runs from 8:30am to 4pm.

We have two classes at the Mini-Maternelle:

Petite Section (ages 2.5 - 3.5 years old)

Monday - Tuesday - Thursday - Friday, 9:30AM - 12PM OR 9:30AM - 2:30PM

Grande Section (ages 3.5 - 5 years old)

Monday - Tuesday - Wednesday - Thursday - Friday,  9:30AM - 2:30PM

* Early drop-off option at 8:30 AM.

* After school program, "l'Atelier" from 2:30pm to 4:00pm.

For the 2024-2025 school year, we will offer our open-house in person.
