The NOLA Project Summer Intensive is a fun, fast-paced, and ensemble-focused theatre program for students ages 11-16. In three short weeks, we read, cast, rehearse, build, and put on a professional-level production that is open to the public. Students of varying ages and skill levels learn how to work together as an ensemble to support each other, expand imaginations, learn voice and speech skills, and present themselves with confidence in front of a live audience. They will be asked to jump right in, take risks, and be fearless as artists. We keep our numbers intentionally small to ensure that the student-to-faculty ratio is ideal and mirrors that of a professional production. So space is limited!
This year we will be producing the play POWER LINE: THE STORY OF ME, MARIO, AND YOUR MOM by Don Zolidis. Read more about the play.
We will be in touch with all registered students by May 15th with a script and additional information you will need for the program.
We don't think of it as "homework" (Yuck, it's summer!)
But memorizing lines at home is an important part!
We have a 30-day no cancelation policy, meaning that if you need to pull your student out of the program for any reason, it must be 30 days prior to the program start if you wish to receive a refund.
