Class Experience

Experiment and play with drawing techniques using pencil, charcoal, chalk pastel, ink, tempera, watercolor and mixed media! In this course, learn about the dynamic attributes of these art mediums while you practice, discover, and create projects that challenge your imagination, potential and more.


Class 1: Chiaroscuro
Techniques in pencil, charcoal & chalk pastels are explored to create light and shadow in drawings.


Class 2: Don't Blink Ink
Dip into techniques with waterproof ink, and discover why this medium is as unforgiving as it is rewarding.


Class 3: H-2-O Color Experiments
Discover and play with watercolor techniques as you splash into this dynamic medium.


Class 4: Mixed Media Magic
Create mixed media art and experiment with techniques that can be expressed in endless ways.

Class 1: HB, 6B pencil, Charcoal Square Chalk, Compressed Pastel Chalk, Charcoal Pencil, Kneaded Eraser, White Sketch Pad


Class 2: Black Waterproof India Ink, Speedball Pen Holder, Standard Point Dip Pen Nibs, Bamboo Brush Set, Tempera Paint, Masking tape, 2-Ply Tag Board, White Sketch Pad


Class 3: Watercolor Tube Set, Bamboo Brush Set, Sponge, Paper towels, Old Toothbrush, Masking Fluid/Liquid Frisket, Salt, Rubbing Alcohol, Watercolor Paper, Masking tape.


Class 4: Chalk Pastel, Waterproof Black India Ink, Acrylic paint, Watercolor Tube Set, Synthetic Brush Set, Elmer's Glue, White Acrylic Gesso, Sponge, Scissors, 2-Ply Tag Board, White Sketchpad, Fine Art Fixatif, Discarded Container)
